Decisions...

OK, we got several DVDs as winter gifts (Romancing the Stone, Labyrinth, and The Dark Crystal to be precise.)

This increased usage of the DVD player has me thinking about the next DVDs I'd like to own. But as usual when dealing with spending money, I'm dithering. So I'm asking y'all to offer an opinion..

There's already strong rumors that there's going to be some mega-whoppin'-collosal extended Trilogy uber-set for Lord of the Rings. Probably at the beginning of 2005.

I'd rent them as you want to see them, spend money on the B5 sets, and wait til the Big One is released.

Agreed - hold off on LotR until you're sure they're done.

Do you already have Firefly?

To be honest, I didn't like Firefly that much. Just failed to grab me.

Maybe I gave up too early, or I run too many merchant games and I had a bad case of "GM-wishing-the-players-would-stop-screwing-up-the-plots."

Borrow it from someone and watch the later episodes. Some of them are just plain-freakin'-brilliant.

I also recommend the British TV series "Coupling". Laughter is the best medicine.

Firefly was quite delightful. And it's way better once you see the episodes in order.
