I don't get it. What's the harm in letting it revert to a free account for a few months?

You don't post 20-30 times a day, so the posting limit won't affect you.

You keep all your user icons, but you can't change them.

You keep your custom style, but you can't change it.

Aside from not supporting your preferred on-line community for a few months, which is understandable, you're not going to loose a whole lot.
