Do you pass?

Think you are an all-American Yankee-Doodle Dandy? Think you know your nation?

Try some samples from the oral quiz the INS gives prospective citizens

I swear, if we made high-schoolers jump through the hoops my father went through to get the vote, this country would be a much better place.

You would post this link the day before I go to an INS interview... I got 5 from 5. :)

Hope your test went well... I can't remember where you are in real life, but lety me know when your citizenship ceremony is, and I'll try to make it down to help you celebrate.

I missed my father's, the US army had me otherwise occupied.

This was actually to become a conditional resident alien. No problems at all with the interview, they wanted to confirm my address, date of birth, parent's first names, get a copy of my marriage certificate, and remove a form from my passport.

Now, the INS guy needs to get my file from Lincoln, Nebaska as they neglected to send my file prior to the interview. This should take two weeks and then I get a new stamp in my passport. The conditional status is due to me being married for less than 2 years.
