Heavy Metal Sunday reveals its' sources.

I wish I could claim an encyclopedic knowledge of the world metal scene, but I can't. I find a lot of the material for HMS by surfing Wiki off the Heavy metal music article for different subgenres. My other source is Rick.

Rick is the shipping guy at one of my regular vendors. Almost every time I pull in there, he has a new band to tell me about. He turned me onto Black Tide, for example, and also onto today's band.

Five Finger Death Punch is a grove/thrash band out of LA. They released their debut album, The Way of the Fist last year with good reviews and critical reception. Currently, they're part of the Rockstar Mayhem Tour. Today's selection is The Bleeding

D&D 4e, a few comments on the PHB.

First of all, I've noticed a trend in commentary on the new edition. It seems that the more involved with D&D a poster has been over the past few decades, the more vehement they are in rejecting 4th Edition. Since I last played D&D regularly when it was called Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, and the PHB had a bunch of guys trying to steal a jewel from an idol's eye sockets, I don't have this problem. I ignored second edition, read but never played 3/3.5, and am coming back to D&D now because I am due for a midlife crisis and I can't afford a Corvette.
