The universe mocks me.

In just over two hours, a concert will begin at the Sleep Train Pavilion in Concord. Iron Maiden, to be precise. I'm not going, and once I saw the day and date I knew I wasn't going to attend. It's about a two hour-drive each way, We just spent a lot of money for Baycon, concerts on weeknights run into me being tired from work and needing to rest up, etc.

So I was good with missing the show. Still hoping they come around again and hit San Jose, but I was good with it.

Until I had a drop today in Concord, half a bloody mile from the concert site, and I had to drive right past the big sign flashing

I almost called in to say that my truck had broken down... no, no.. no need to send a tow, I'll just hang out here until about, oh, 2300 or so...
