I think my favorite part of this song comes from an interview I read years ago, where the band described hitting hardware stores in search of a chainsaw that ran in the right key.

Note: This is not to be confused wit the Lumberjack Song.

A bit of a disagreement this morning.

iTunes and I are having an argument.

iTunes: "Good morning! 'Top Rated' folder, eh? Have Thick As A Brick - Part 2!"

Me: "Why is that even in there? No, give me some metal."

iTunes: "Dude, it's Sunday morning.. you like A Boat Like Gideon Brown, let's listen to that!"

Me: "Is the boat going to blow up and burn to a driving bass line? If not, I'll pass. Metal, please."

iTunes: "Did you say mellow? Got just the thing! New York State of Mind coming right up!"

Me: "No, you collection of rebellious binary bits! Am I going to have to switch over the the Metal Folder and risk hearing the 2-star death metal?"

iTunes: "I just thought you'd want some pleasing music for your morning."

Me: "No, I want a pulse. You've forced my hand.."

iTunes: "Wait! Give my Shuffle feature a chance!"

Me: "Too late."

Computer screen: Pause, Playlist: Heavy Metal, Play

iTunes: "Fine. Be that way. I'll be over here in virtual memory sulking."
