Damn my respiratory system!

After missing last night's shift due to chronic hiccups (close to 20 straight hours, with only short breaks.. my throat was burn raw and I eventually threw up because of the reflexive actions.) I awoke this morning with a cold. Sniffily, stuffed up.

I bloody hate winter.

Interesting development..

The other day I wandered over to the nearby gas station to grab the paper.. the manager there and I are pretty friendly, and we've discussed me working there before. He told me the current grave shift guy isn't working out. I'm going to apply.

Why? Regular hours, for one thing, and better pay. Also, I'd keep my job at Cost Plus as a part time thing so I can get my employee discount on some new, better, furniture for the apartment. Decorating in Early College Student is amusing, but not when you're pushing forty!

Time to update the resume...
