The mind boggles

Seen today as Kiri and I were running errands.

A mall near us is making never-ending renovations, and has signs proclaiming just how neat everything will be when the dust finally settles. One of the this mentions is a:

"State of the Art Food Court"

Say What??? A food court is an open area ringed by food stalls that produce a variety of pseudo-ethnic foods! You put tables and chairs in the open area, and make sure that bored teenagers are hired to sweep up and bus the trays. That's all it is. Period.

So what the hell is a State of the Art Food Court going to contain? Robot waiters? Intelligent grease that slides off you pizza and makes its way back home? Lasers that blast any parent who ignores a screaming child for more than five seconds?

Or does it mean even more chrome and "trendy" food choices, like Wan's BBQ Yak Hut! I can't wait to see.
