Fear and Loathing on the 14-Mission

Ah, spending the day on the bus. Not one of my favorite things. But I had to go down to my doctors office for a few things. First of all, I had to drop off my paper work for state disability. Also, I had to make an emergency appointment. Y' see, I don't. See that is. Over the weekend, my eyes got very cloudy which makes seeing an experience in annoyance. Eye drops help a bit, but only for a few hours. So, I wanted to see Iaccarino ASAP to find out what's up with this.

There's also another problem.. ( TMI. You would not believe the TMI behind this cut. I'm warning you, this is graphic and likely to put you off your feed. Abandon all hope, ye who click here.. )

After dropping off the paperwork, I had panned on heading up to the food stamp office to grab an application. But, being an idiot, I left the address at home. D'oh! So, I figure I'll head that way anyway, and grab a little early lunch. The 14-Mission pulls up, and I jump on.

Mission St. is the longest street in San Francisco. Did y'all know this? And evidently, there are stops every five feet. After three days short of forever, we finally reach Van Ness (for you locals, my doctor is on Mission between Ocean and Persia.) Hit this wonderful tacqueria that understands that a burrito is meat and cheese and everything else is garnish added later. This was God's own burrito. Since I hadn't eaten yet, it was a most welcome brunch item. Very good salsa. I had to stop at the "hot" salsa.. the hotter stuff went over the line between heat and taste. They also used jalapenos, which I dislike.

Grab a bus up to Haight and Divisadero. Visit Gamescape to pick up kengr's copy of GT: Ground Forces. Of course, it still hasn't come in. (Grrrr...) Grabbed the new Dragon, and Dork Tower. Visited the comic store and bought smut. At that point, I was getting over exerted, so I headed home.

Once at home, I got a call from Social Security about my claim, and Kiri came home (and promptly fell asleep.) So now I just sit here. Tomorrow, I have to take the bus out to the doctor's again to have my eyes looked at.

*sigh* My busy life.
