Can you feel us on your heels yet?

Those gutless sum bags can run, but hiding will them no good.
Its time for some good reality TV, public executions.

People want to bitch about American, lets give 'em something to hate us for. I for one, am tired of playing by the rules and getting kicked in the balls everytime we turn around.

Payback is going to be quick, violent and very sweet for those who screw with us.

Congratulations. You've descended to their level.

Yes, we have. And I'd pay to see the looks on their faces when the B-52s started hitting the Taliban lines.

"I fear all we have done is awakened a sleeping giant, and filled him with a terrible resolve." - Admiral Yamamoto, Imperial Japanese Navy.

We are sending a clear message: You dare to touch America, and we will hunt you down. Any state that grants you shelter will be overthrown, any bank that holds your money will be be purged, anyone who gives you aid will be attacked. You will be hunted down until you are either dead or in chains. You do not mess with the United States, because we will come down on you like the wrath of God. We will show you all the mercy a murderer deserves.

This is the level we have reached. Somebody was stupid enough to wake the giant up, and now he is reaping the results of that act. I have no sympathy at all.

No. What you're saying there is more than understandable. It's this bit that I find barbaric:
Its time for some good reality TV, public executions.
If the terrible resolve includes the desire to get on with the "nation-building" thing, and turn Afghanistan into the sort of country where people won't want to become terrorists because, then it's A Good Thing, even to us effete Europeans.

But if it includes the desire to bomb the poor bloody peasants of Iraq even further back into the Stone Age for the crime of being ruled by someone who once pissed off Dubya's dad, then I'm afraid I can't see justice there. Not when there are more dangerous countries and worse governments.
