Re-worked convention biography

How does this look to everyone?

Doug Berry has been wandering around SF/F fandom for close to 35 years. In that time, he has worked cons, been a frequent panelist at Baycon, run parties, and tormented ConOps. He will also argue anything at the drop of a hat. He lists his religion as Orthodox Baseball, Giants Synod. But what Doug is perhaps best known for is his perverse fascination with penguins.

Currently on disability due to a pronounced inability to breathe; Doug is making use of his time by working on several RPG settings. Doug has been gaming since 1977, and shows no sign of stopping anytime soon. After surviving cancer in the mid-90s, he resolved to get published. The results were minor credits in several books and two “name” projects: At Close Quarters (BITS) and GURPS Traveller: Ground Forces (Steve Jackson Games). Success in writing fiction (aside from his resume) continues to be elusive.

Doug can be recognized by his ever-present Giants cap, and still can’t really believe that the Giants won the World Series.

Any suggestions for improvement?

Move the first sentence of Paragraph 2 to the end, and it should have a comma in the middle, rather than a semicolon.

I think it's still a little rough around the edges even with that change, but the vicodin is keeping me from coming up with further tweakage.

How about (Hat not provided) in the appropriate place in the first paragraph. I've never known you to start an argument, though I've seen you finish several.

I think it looks great. I'd add something after "argue anything at the drop of a hat" to the effect of "usually wins by acclamation."

Looking forward to seeing you at the con.

I second this.
