Heavy Metal Turkey Day.

The things I do for you people.

Do you have any idea how many crappy videos I watch to find these triumphs of bad music and art for you? My browser history looks like that of a musical masochist. But I do it because I love you, and I love really bad videos. And oh, do we have a turkey for you today!

Immortal is a black metal band from Bergen, Norway. The band was formed by Abbath and Demonaz Doom Occulta after their previous band, Amputation, did not take off. That's from the Wikipedia page, which is a turkey in it's own right. "This article has multiple issues." Like being written by a fan boy who needs to be beaten severely with the NYT style guide.

But onward. Immortal is a fine band, if you like Black Metal, and I'm sure that they are wonderful people in person, who call their mothers every week and are kind to children and puppies. But we're not here for that, we're here to mock a video. Filmed in some municipal park on a budget of at least 30 Kroner, Heavy Metal Sunday brings the pain with Immortal - Call of the Wintermoon.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving, everyone!

Convenient that this bird also comes pre-stuffed.

That "video" looked like some Live Action Role Playing
in the park recording with a home camcorder.

Actually, my former LARP crew did something way better that this. Too bad I can't find it online.

Immortal, the band with the most amusing visuals. Too bad I no longer have the appropriate userpic.

The first thing I thought when I found this was "I have FOUR Tootsie-Rolls!"

Damn. That may be the worst video ever.

I'm pretty sure someone gave them a list of things to do in a metal video and they just did them, in no particular order.

Then my job here is done. *bows, exits stage left*

Well, Manowar's Gloves of Metal (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4qTi7cDtI4) seems to follow the same route. OTOH, Dethklok's Thunderhorse (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjwE-F23avg) actually manages to do it well.
