This seesm to be a bit of a fad, so here goes.

Everyone seems to be in a frenzy of posting pictures of themselves on Facebook and LJ from when they were kids. Here's the only picture I have of myself at an early age. [livejournal.com profile] baka49er has all the albums, but I'm not going to bother going through them looking for a good one. So, here I am as I looked at ten years of age.

Doug Age 10

The shirt requires a little explanation. From the time I was five I was mad for military history and collected military patches and medals. My 4th grade teacher, Mr. Rouse, got me to clean my desk by hiding old patches in it. After a time, my mom sewed some of the better patches onto a shirt, and I added a couple of USMC marksmanship medals (given to me by a neighbor who was a USMC vet.) I freaking loved that shirt. Funny thing is i seem to recall rejecting one patch for the shirt because it looked too weird. The patch? The 197th Infantry Brigade, a unit I ended up spending a considerable amount of time in.

Ah, well. Bite The Bullet!
