Never mind dealing with the barrio-like conditions around here, our newest neighbors have added a new twist. When they use the washing machine, they pull their clothes out before the spin cycle is done, leaving the lid up. Along I come, load my clothes, detergent, and quarters, close the lid.. and the machine starts right up.

I've now lost $1.75, and a cup of detergent and have to wait for the damn machine to finish its phantom load.

An option may be opening up. More later.
