Heavy Metal Sunday pays tribute to the Ruby Meg. Show Your Scars!

Last week, as I noted at the time, [livejournal.com profile] meglimir lost her battle with cancer. Today we celebrate her fight, and my fight, and the fight of everyone who is battling disease, addiction, or just a bad fucking day with Metallica's Broken, Beat & Scarred. This is obviously the same stage set up we saw at our show. Those two black boxes to either side of the drum riser are pyro effect points.

Next up.. it's January! Things are cold everywhere, so I think we need some more covers. A whole month of covers. We'll start with Judas Priest doing a song you'd never expect them to do. See ya in 2009! Die Hard, HMS viewers!

Thank you for this. Meg was a fighter all the way. Every time she was knocked down on the battlefield, she got back up, shook herself off, and raged back into battle again with a fierce determination to either win, or take the cancer down with her. She fought the battle with courage and heart. I loved her and I will forever miss her.

A fitting trubute.

I've never heard this before. Bet you aren't surprised that it resonates strongly with me.

Priest cover! Woot. Yay January.
