I lived/live under the approach of a municipal airport...
During one airshow, about a decade ago, they canned a Marine pilot demonstrating the F/A-18 after he crossed the Interstate between where I was and the airport and did a flat turn over the neighborhood without going above 150 feet.
Cool trick, rattled all the windows, scared the shit out of most of the neighborhood. The news reported a bunch of people thought it had crashed.
(I remember the Blue Angels when they flew F4's and A4's... :| )
