I revise my earlier statement. Is there anyone at McCain HQ who isn't sniffing glue?

Palin says 17-year-old daughter is pregnant

John McCain's running mate Sarah Palin said Monday that her 17-year-old unmarried daughter is five months pregnant, an announcement campaign aides said was aimed at rebutting Internet rumors that Palin's youngest son, born in April, was actually her daughter's.

Yes, nothing says Republican family values like a pregnancy in the Vice-Presidential pick's unmarried teenage daughter.

But about those rumors. Kos has an incredible article, with photos that show there might be a real fire under that smoke.

hehehehehehe......

Five months preggers? Interesting timing that, it would put the birth to be sometime after the election, giving all of us plenty of time to forget about it.

If Trig Palin is really the grandson, then why not admit that? Kids make mistakes, it's part of growing up. If Trig is going to be an uncle come Thanksgiving why not just move the daughter into the closet until the election is over?

The timing of the kid's birth is a bit confusing. That she flew from Texas after her water broke & took more than 20 hours to get to a minor hospital (bypassing the best two in the state) near her home can be evidence that Trig is really her grandson. Ask any Obstetrician hiser opinion on that one. Heck, ask any reasonably educated woman who has delivered a child her opinion.

All in all, this sounds as though someone is trying to hide something serious. An unwanted teen pregnancy should not be considered "man the barricades!" serious. Yet, that seems to be the mindset I'm seeing, not just here, but all over the McPain/Calin campaign.

What I find least credible

is that you could go through 20 hours of labor, and be right back at work (which is what she's been touting).

Between that & the pictures on the article, THIS mother smells something peculiar.
