I use the wish list because I'm notoriously hard to shop for, and have a bad habit of buying things for myself right up to the traditional gift-giving days.

A lot of the older metal is probably stuff I own/owned on LP or tape. Never got around to replacing them on CD. Some are things that I remember liking, but have never gotten around to owning.
