Actually, it looks like the struts were anchored well enough, but the tarp shredded in the wind.

Thank you for giving me an excuse to post pictures of my camp from last year, though.



Seeing as we actually did have a star-shaped tent.... Came through Wednesday's white-outs like a champ, though. And they were AWFUL last year.

Y'know, that shot of the folks in the bar during the sandstorm? You could *so* use that as a pic of "And this is the spaceport bar on...." :-)

I was thinking "OK, you follow the courier into one of the tent-buildings clustered around the launch area. This one appears to be a bar, pretty crowded. Suddenly, the wind picks up and" (show picture) "you lose sight of the courier."

You might actually try getting folks at Burning Man to try "setting up" shots just for the purpose of being usable by budding SF & F types. Lord knows there's enough weird stuff there to qualify. :-)
