The story of the game, beyond the pitching match-up, turned out to be Cody Ross, the kid we picked up off the Marlins' waiver wire mainly to keep the Padres from getting him back in August. Two solo home runs that were the difference in the game. Tomorrow it's Sanchez vs. Oswalt, another great pitching match.
