Heavy Metal Sunday celebrates Mavericks.

Yes, it's Valentine's Day, and Chinese New Year, and tomorrow is Presidents Day. I could find three videos that tied in, but I'm lazy. also, yesterday was quite possibly the most exciting Mavericks Surf Contest ever, with 13 injuries. That was among the spectators who got smashed by a rogue wave.

So to celebrate those magnificent maniacs who rode 40-foot monsters, we present Heaven & Hell performing Children of the Sea live from Radio City Music Hall in 2007. One of my favorite Black Sabbath songs, it really shows Dio vocal range well.

Oh, if I had decided to do all three holidays?

Judas Priest - Turbo Lover
Tiefutu (Iron Buddha) - Tiefutu
Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction (The original banned video)

Yup. Another morning at Offhand Manor

Me: "We're millionaires!"

Kirsten: Gives me That Look

Me: "We'll open a Borders book store with a Taco Bell in it."

Kirsten: That Look with a side of Raised Eyebrow

Me: "Make a run for the Borders!"

Kirsten: sighs, face-palms. "You're weird, sir."

My only comment on St. Valentine's Day.

While there at least three men who are thought to be the "real" St. Valentine, the common thread is that he was imprisoned and later martyred for secretly marrying those that the Roman authorities forbid to be wed: Christians.

Just a little food for thought. Today we're celebrating a man who today would be marching for the rights of everyone to marry.

Oh, one other thought.

I'M MARRIED TO THE MOST AWESOME WOMAN EVER TO WALK THE PLANET!!!! LOVE MY BOO!!!
