Heavy Metal Sunday is all wet.

Orphaned Land is an Israeli prog metal band that incorporates progressive, doom, and death metal as well as Middle-Eastern folk music and Arabic traditions in a form of Oriental metal. They also bring in influences from Judaism, such as 1996's El Norra Alila based on a prayer said at Yom Kippur. Very interesting stuff.

Today's track is Ocean Land (The Revelation) off of 2004's Mabool: The Story of the Three Sons of Seven. This is a concept album about three men, one for each Abrahamic religion, trying to warn the world of an impending flood.

I may have to pick this album up. It looks fascinating.

St. Louis Rams: 16

And it wasn't even that close. The Rams didn't get into the end zone until there was less than two minutes left in the game. We end a six game skid, and Mike Singletary gets his first win as a NFL head coach.

Yeah, two terrible (2-7) teams, but Niners/Rams is an old rivalry, and beating them is always a priority. Plus, we looked pretty damn good today.
