What the fuck was that?

At about 0130 this morning, Kirsten and I were woken by two loud noises. The best way to describe them were blasts from an electronic klaxon or alarm. The weird thing is, they sounded like they came from inside the apartment!

It wasn't the fire alarm or carbon monoxide detector, I've heard those go off before.

Best thing I can figure is something out in the alley went off, and the weird acoustics of the area reflected it into our room.
