Every picture tells a story, don't it...

Among the pile of things in the mail yesterday was my new driver license. Yay! What was amazing was the picture. I actually took a good d/l photo.

More than being a nice picture of me, it made an incredible point about my long recovery. A brief history of my d/l photos.

June '94. Taken the day before I had my first seizure. I look like hell. Pale, glassy-eyed, a bit sunken.

July '98 Still bad. My eyes are sunk deep into their sockets, My neck is pencil-thin, and I still have this pallor to my skin.

This one? My eyes are bright, and my face has filled out. I have a neck again. I'm a bit tan (something I couldn't do for while.) The entire thing just looks, well healthy.

This makes me happy.

The Agony and the Ecstasy

Colorado Rockies: 10
San Francisco Giants: 9

That score was Giants 9, Rockies 6 when Colorado came to bat in the bloody 9th inning. We need some help in the bullpen, right farking NOW!

But, in a universe right next door...

The Wildcats got Brian Urlacher! I lost two Hall of Famers to retirement (Warrick Dunn and Ed Moulds) but Urlacher showed up as a free agent! Made him a strong offer, and now I have him for at least two years. (BTW, it is now 2009 in this universe.)
