Yay me *thud*
Last night we started inventory at Cost Plus. I was scheduled to work the usual closing shift, 1730-2230. But my manager told me I was welcome to work later, if I liked. More hours? I'm there.
So I ended up staying until 0200 (at that point there really wasn't anything left for me to do) So, including my lunch, I got about 7.5 hours.
We had a professional inventory company doing the grunt work.. all us Cost Plus drones had to do was run sku checks on items that wouldn't scan.
Got home around 0215, and of course couldn't get to sleep until 0330. So, I'm a little out of sorts today.
In other news, I've almost finished Harry Turtledove's Ruled Britannia, about a Britain where the Spanish Armada succeeded and England is occupied by Spain. It concerns the life of one Poet Will Shakespeare, who gets tied up in various Plots and Treasons. Really recommend it.
