Riding journal, plus bits.

Since I have a Cool Riding Computer(tm), I'm going to keep a daily log of my rides.

Today I just walked down to the gas station to bring my tires up to pressure (about 55 psi) and then a short ride over to the Union station to bug Eric about a job (they have their Help Wanted sign up again), then home.

Distance: .519 miles
Maximum speed: 13.7mph
Average speed: 8.1mph
Time riding: 3 minutes, 51 seconds.

The computer is smart enough to register complete stops as non-riding time, and suspend tracking of time and average speed until the sensor starts reading passes by the magnet again. The system is pretty cool.

Every time I can get out on the road, I will do so. My goal is to be doing 7-10 miles daily with an average speed of 10 mph, with shorter rides at higher average speeds sprinkled in.

Fish pills. fish pills, rolly-polly fish pills

Eat them up, yum.

My doctor told me to start taking Omega-3 pills, which are basically fish oil. In our grand tradition, we just call them fish pills. Picked them up yesterday.

These things are huge! And I have to take three a day! I can't close my pill box any more! I have a sudden desire to watch The Incredible Mr. Limpet..

I just like typing "fish pills."
