100 years ago.

A rickety, powered box glider left the ground for a brief flight over the dunes of North Carolina. In the Century since, we've broken the speed barrier, made flying an everyday thing, and left footprints on the Moon. Man made objects are leaving the solar system.

Wonder what is going to happen in the next century?

This is where we live. The red circle is righ over our apartment.

The stuff across the street is the County water distirct, with the large percolation pond. Go north one click, and you see those two buildings in the parling lot? The smaller one is where I worl (the right half of it anyway.)

Technology.. millions of dollars and we get these great toys!

Wow.

Just, wow. I first read the trilogy when I was about 15, and have always wondered if anyone could ever get the grandeur and scope of Tolkein's epic vision onto the screen. Now I know, it was Peter Jackson.
