Everyone should visit this site.

Cryptome

Why? Because it scares the FBI. It is dedicated to freedom of information, our right to know what the hell is going on in this world and our nation. Just reading some of the files here makes me wish I had a small armory and a more defensible position.

Support these guys as you would any alternate news source. Part of the job of being a citizen is being an informed citizen.

No ride for me.

It was raining last night.. along with some lightning. (when [livejournal.com profile] kshandra came to bed, she said that she had turned off the 'computer at the power supply. "Wha, huh?" was my reasoned response. Then I heard the thunder..)

Woke up today, and it was raining. Then clear. That more rain. Around 1130, it had cleared sufficiently for me to decide to risk it (or at least install the new lights.) The front light went on easily enough. As I was sitting in the garage tightening my nuts (Yes, John [all of you] a free straight line) the rain started coming down. After struggling with the rear light, it had stopped, but started when I poked my head out of the garage to see what the sky looked like. Heavy, black, and pendulous was the best description. Closed the garage and tested the lights. I have the front beam set for about 20' in front of me. The rear one will probably work best on the fast flash mode. (Although there is a mode I like to call Cylon.. the red lights go back and forth.)

It's now bright blue, but I haven't the energy to head out. Hopefully tomorrow.

Why am I writing all this? Because I'm writing here because doing anything else seems to be beyond my ability at the moment! I hate writer's block.
