A very cool visit with my new doctor.

Very cool.. it involved liquid nitrogen.

It is so nice to have a good doctor again. Dr. Komshian came in for my physical and immediately began discussing my lab results. Just about everything was normal, and I'm now the only man in America who needs to raise my cholesterol levels. :) He suggested walking each day, and with the park nearby, this is doable.

We had to real concerns going in. a mole on my back was changing color, and my summer warts that I get on my hands were worse than ever. Dr. K explained that the mole was not troubling, it wasn't the type that turns into a melanoma. The warts, he told us, needed to be burned off.. with liquid nitrogen. Having your skin touch something that's at about 77 degrees K (-321 F) is interesting to say the least.. it burns, but your skin is not sending hot signals to your brain. He also gave me a pneumonia vaccine.

So, now the warts are acting like blisters, and I need to make another appointment to have them burned some more. We;re also going to get one of the commercial wart reducers. I go back to see the doctor in six months.

There is a "but" to all this good news. This good report kills any hope of getting SSA. With this report I have no hope of an appeal. *sigh* It would take a major down-turn in my health to support a new claim at this point.
