Note regarding my friends list.

I've done some cutting on my friends list. If I've cut you, it's not for any personal reasons, just that reading my LJ was taking up too much of my time.

If I've cut you, and you really need to tell me something, email me at gridlore@mindspring.com.

The All-Important Baseball Report, #5. Barry is a God Edition.

San Francisco Giants: 3
Los Angeles Dodgers: 2

in 11 innings.

Barry Bonds is the greatest offensive player in baseball history. There can be no argument here. It is a fact. 633 home runs. 73 homers in one season. On Base Percentage? .582. Walks? 198 in 2002. Intentional Walks? 68 in the same year.

And last night he added to his legendary stats. With one out in the bottom of the 11th, Bonds was walked. He then took off and stole second without a throw. This was his 500th career stolen base. He is the only player in history to have both 500 home runs and 500 stolen bases. (He was also the only player with 400 each, although others have now reached that level.)

The game last night was marred by poor clutch hitting, we left way too many people on base. Our first two runs came from a Galarraga home run in the 2nd, and starting pitcher Kirk "Woody" Rueter drew a four=pitch walk in the 5th, moved to second on Ray Durham's single, then scored when Grissom singled to left. Watching Woody run is amusing.

Giants reclaim a one game lead in the National League West.

Hand me my old shotgun

For the last 20 minutes an idiot has been adjusting his car alarm. Which means that it has going off for 20 minutes.

Arg. No jury on Earth would convict me.
