Damn, but I'm amusing sometimes

A friend of mine has a huge collection of sig quotes. Along the way, I've become fairly well represented in the Military and Roleplaying sections. Some of my better ones are behind the cut tag.

A horrid pun.

We had a ranter in alt.conspiracy. Nothing special but I replied to correct a few facts, and to point out that he had misspelled coup as coupe. I pointed out that the latter is in fact a type of car.

One person asked if a dictator drove one it would make it a coupe d'etat.

No, said I, but if Mussolini had driven one, it would have been:

his Il Duce Coupe.

I shall run now.

And things take a turn for the *really* strange.

Kiri was chatting with a SuperShuttle Driver I used to be pretty good friends with. He asked if I was ever coming back. "Um, Roosevelt, they fired him, remember?" His reply was that he had seen people come back after being caught stealing.

Intrigued, Kiri asks my old manager if I have a bar to reapplying. He wasn't sure. He's going to check.

Tighten those seat belts, and keep all loose items inside the van! As long as I no longer have to speak with Alexis the Bitch ever again, I'll be just fine.

On IRC tonight, we were discussing the death of Dalnet. Somebody asked what had happened, and another person replied "The tore Dalnet down and put up a parking lot."

I immediately added"

"Oh, that's the way it goes, that you don't know what you've got till it's gone.."

The next line on the scroll was another member with:

"They paved paradise, and put up a parking lot."

People were suitably impressed.
