For once, it isn't me

that needs the medical vibes.

Today, I heard from two friends in desperate straights. Both of them are on the Traveller Mailing List.

The first I know only by his nickname, General Turkoan. He has be living with ALS (Lou Gerhig's Disease) for years, and it has reached the point where he can no longer type or track his eyes well enough to read the screen. He has had to unsubscribe from the list. He will be missed, and prayers for his comfortable passing would be appreciated.

Also in need of intervention is my first publisher, Andy Lilly. He and his wife just had their second child, who is currently trying to figure out how to breath in a NICU unit in London. The doctors all say that things are going well, but Andy and Chris are understandably nervous. Healing spells for the new baby, and de-stressing for the parents would be helpful.

Now I understand how people felt when I got sick. I want to do something, but all I can do is wait and hope

Update: Medical prayers

General Turkoan has asked that in respect to his beliefs, that only people in Judeo-Christian faiths offer actual prayers. Good thoughts from others are welcome.

He did thank you all all, and said that if this message reaches some of you after your ritual has taken place, he understands.

Now, my medical update

Last week, Kirsten dropped off my disability continuation form with my neurologist, who is named R. Fisher. There is also a P. Fisher at the Stanford MedCenter Epilepsy Clinic. Guess what happened?

Right.

So now my check is way late, and we are dealing with having to beg and borrow to make the rent again.
